The Ruling/My Call On The Topic

In Anna's case when she was seeking medical emancipation, I would have ruled in favor of Anna because I feel Anna has done enough for Kate as of right now and should not be forced by her parents to give up HER body. Anna should have the right to HER body. To give a kidney, Anna would be in danger of death because of many things during the surgery. Not only would Kate be in danger still, Anna would be put into major danger just as her sister is. Plus, Kate would still have the possibility of dying, Anna would not if she did not have the surgery.
I understand from where Sara is coming. She wants to save her youngest daughter, but I feel she is not taking into consideration what she would be doing to Anna. It is either that, or she does not care.
Campbell, in my mind, took this case to bump up his reputation, but now I think he has grown closer to Anna and actually cares for her as a friend and not just a client. Campbell is a great lawyer, but he appears to be falling apart at the seems in a way. It is like he is becoming a more clumsy person career-wise.

Blog about the Designer Babies!

In my mind, the idea of genetically selected babies is wrong. (A) Parent(s) is/are selecting of what they want their child to consist. Sure, it may be for medical purposes, but by picking the "best fit" baby for life, one is denying another embryo the chance to live. If the embryo dies due to something after conception, and it does not develop, that is due to natural reasons. It is not because of a scientist. Doing  this messes with the natural order of life. It is not natural selection. By doing this, it COULD (not will) cause a change or a population shift in all organisms on Earth if more and more people start doing this.
If the baby is created for medical reasons to save an already born sibling, it is possible for the parents to not necessarily love that child. They may have had the baby just for the fact that is could save their older child.

Our Fake Convo

Gary: Kyle, I seriously do not believe the Holocaust ever occurred.

Me: How? How can you not believe it happened?

Gary: I wasn't there. A lot of people in my neighborhood are saying it never happened. They are relatives of German soldiers and SS soldiers, and they all say it never happened. It couldn't have happened because no person or group of people could be that horrid.

Me: You have to see it clearly happened. Look at the evidence. There are first-hand accounts of happenings in the concentration camps. All the survivors, they all say many of the same things, and they DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER!

Gary: Still . . . I'm not necessarily convinced.

Me: Gary, come on. Think with me here.

Gary: Okay.

Me: Look at all the concentration camps that existed. Look at all the stuff the German soldiers had destroyed. They want to deny it ever happened. They do not want people knowing the truth. The Jewish people who survived WANT us to know, and a lot of Germans are swearing up and down that the Holocaust is a lie! Tehre are ruins from the camps left over. There is evidence left in the camps; old crematoriums, gas champers, graves, suitcases, HAIR, and so much more. All of the evidence points directly to the Holocaust being a true happening many years ago.

Gary: Wow. I never really look at it like that. I guess you are right. My relatives are wrong. I do now believe the Holocaust was real.

Me: Thank you.

The Holocaust

I think the Holocaust was truly a very horrible occurrence in history. The Jews, Gypsies, and homosexuals were brutally murdered for just being whom they are. Hitler was in no way correct for doing this . . . in my mind. What I mean by this: The native people of Germany did not think this was wrong. They were told things by Hitler, a leader they trusted very much. He told them the Jews and the others named were the lowest life forms on Earth, and they were the reason Germany was having the problems it was. Because a leader that was trusted so much told the people, the Germans turned against the others.

What She Does Well

I discovered my mom is still a very good roller skater. I knew she skated, but I did not know she is still as good as she used to be. This happened at the North Canton Skate Center last year for my cousin's birthday party. I skate all the time. I took my skates, and everyone was skating. My aunt rented the whole rink for a few hours. My mom decided half way through the time we were there that she wanted to skate, so she went to the counter and got a pair of skates. Next thing I know, my mom is flying around the rink keeping up with me with no problem after she has not skated in 20 years, and that is all I seem to do lately.
After this, I realized I should never doubt someone who once did something and stopped for a while. They could always "step back into it" and be just as good as before. Also, I learned from where my interest in roller skating came.

To Kill A Mockingbird in Real Life

The story of Scout and her friends would transfer to my neighborhood very nicely because I live in a neighborhood full of old people who are very secretive and barely come out of their houses. The only thing of which I can think would change would be Boo Radley. He would be an older man I never see outside. There would not be a lot of kids in the neighborhood because there is only one other house with someone under 18 living in it. The quietness from To Kill A Mockingbird would stay the same because I live in a very quiet neighborhood. I would be friends with Scout if she lived in my neighborhood because she seems like a very fun friend and someone you could trust a lot. I would also be friends with Jem and Dill for the same reasons.

How To With Life

"Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it," Mary Oliver.

Nothing tells you how to live your life. You learn as you go through your own life. "Instructions" are made by yourself on how to live your own life. You learn from personal experiences what works best for you and your environment. People cannot tell you how to live your life. The most they can do is give you advice because they may have been in a similar situation, but they have not been in the same exact situation with the same exact people at the same exact time.
